It's easy to apply for low-cost spay or neuter. If you live in Alachua, Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy, LaFayette or Suwannee County, and the cost of spay/neuter would be a hardship for you, you will qualify for our program. Print and mail an application form with a check or money order made out to "Pay To Spay". The cost for cats is $20 and for dogs is $40.
The application form will ask which veterinary practice you prefer. Refer to our list of participating veterinarians on the Veterinarians page of this website. All veterinarians will require you to bring proof of current rabies vaccination; if you do not have this, they will vaccinate your pet at the time of surgery at your expense.
Once we process your application, we will assign you to one of our participating veterinarians, and we will notify you by phone or email. All you have to do is schedule your appointment after you hear from us.
You may also take advantage of the Neuter Commuter Mobile Surgery Unit, sponsored through Pay To Spay. Registration for the Neuter Commuter must be done in person, not online or by mail. Registration and spay/neuter dates and locations are announced on the Neuter Commuter page of this site, on our Facebook page, and in local newspapers.
